MORE FROM ENTERTAINMENT
Pathaan has just got more time to mint moolah at the box office. It was announced on Monday evening that Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Shehzada, which was earlier scheduled to hit screens on February 10, will now release on February 17.
Producer Aman Gill told TOI, 'Yes, we have postponed the film Kartik has immense respect for Shah Rukh and we all love him. We decided that it would be best for our film if we come after a week.'
Shah Rukh Khan ends Pathaan press meet with his trademark pose.
Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham dance to Pathaan song “Jhoome Jo Pathaan”.
“Thank you Salman for making this film so wonderful. One of the best lines in the film is 'Ye pain killer hai, chewing gum nahi,’” says Shah Rukh Khan.
“Whenever we make films, the aim is to spread love, kindness. Even if we are playing bad characters, say things in the film, it isn't intended to hurt any sentiment. Fun and entertainment should be left at that— don't take it seriously. We love each other and just want to spread love,” says Shah Rukh Khan.
He adds, “Deepika is Amar, I'm Akbar, John is Anthony. We love you, that's why we make films. Nothing is bigger than this. We have to keep our stories seeped in India. When we tell our stories, we don't deride it. We are just using a language that the young ones speak.”
“When we were shooting Darr, Adi narrated me a story where I'm the action hero. I got very excited. I really wanted to be an action hero. The one who wears a baniyan, has muscles, a girl on hand and gun on the other. But when he narrated me the film after Darr, he said, 'Tujhe dekha toh ye jaana sanam... ' I was like, ‘Where's the action?’ I thought he'd come to me with something like Auzaar, Hathoda, Paththar. Four years ago, he narrated me another action film but he again didn't make it. But when he narrated me the opening scene of Pathaan, I told Pooja (manager) that he's lying! That he won't make an action film. I thank him that he has kept his promise. DDLJ and Pathaan are running at a cinema hall! I'm very very happy with that. I hope Adi takes me more in action films now,” says Shah Rukh Khan.

“Jim had to be very cool. He had to be smart and intelligent. Sid has done a fantastic job. Thank you for projecting me so well,” says John Abraham.
“Every scene requires a different emotion, whether it's romance, action, comedy. I have been underutilized in action, though I've done a few films where I had action scenes. Chandni Chowk To China had some scenes. You have to be careful while doing action, but I treat it like any other scene. Action, emotion, crying, it all has to flow,” says Deepika Padukone.
"Our films release on Friday, this one opened on Wednesday. On Friday, we deal with our releases differently. If a film goes bad till Sunday, by Monday you decide that you'll work harder. If it works, you think you'll work harder. When my films don't do well, I feel terrible. There are thousands of people associated with it. We feel guilty. But hit or flop, Monday onwards you get back to the set and become labour class and work hard. If you can't do that, you shouldn't make films,” says Shah Rukh Khan.
“His fans love him just so much. It's a responsibility. There are big fan clubs. Only then I realised that this was a mammoth task. Our last two months were stressful, jo maahol ban raha tha film ke around... Now I'm relieved,” says Siddharth Anand.
“When we made the film, I realised that directing Shah Rukh Khan is a responsibility. He is like clay. Whatever you say, he'll do it without any loss of faith. Through that I realised if by any chance a Shah Rukh Khan film doesn't do well, it is because of the director not him,” says Siddharth Anand.
